S355J2 is a high-strength, low-carbon structural steel known for excellent weldability and good impact resistance, even at low temperatures (minimum 27 Joules at -20°C). Its key mechanical properties include a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa (though it decreases with thickness), tensile strength typically 470-630 MPa (depending on thickness), and ~20-21% elongation, with a hardness of around 150-190 HB. It offers good machinability and is used in construction, bridges, and general engineering. Mechanical Properties

• Yield Strength (ReH): Minimum 355 MPa (for thicknesses up to 16mm).
• Tensile Strength (Rm): 470-630 MPa (thickness dependent).
• Elongation (A5): Minimum 20-21% (thickness dependent).
• Hardness: Typically 150-200 HB.
• Impact Toughness (Charpy V-Notch): 27 J at -20°C.

• Young's Modulus: 210 GPa.
• Thermal Conductivity: 40-45 W/m°K (ambient).
