EN24 steel is an alloy steel that has high tensile strength and hardness. It has good machinability and is used in many applications, including gears, shafts, studs, and bolts. Chemical composition Carbon: 0.32–0.39, Chromium: 1.3–1.7, Iron: 94.64–96.33, and Manganese: 0.50–0.80. Mechanical properties 

• Tensile strength: 850–1000 MPa in the T condition, up to 1550 MPa in the Z condition
• Yield strength: Around 635 MPa
• Hardness: 248–302 HB
• Impact resistance: Excellent, especially at low temperatures
