• Material: Carbon steel (medium carbon steel with a typical carbon content of 0.3%). 
• Manufacturing: Seamless, meaning the pipe is made from a solid billet of steel, not welded. 
• Tensile Strength: Minimum tensile strength of 415 MPa (60,200 psi). 
• Yield Strength: Minimum yield strength of 240 MPa (35,000 psi). 
• Chemical Composition: Includes carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, and other elements in small amounts. The maximum carbon content is 0.30%. 
• Applications: High-temperature and high-pressure service in various industries, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, and more. 
• Size Range: Commonly available in sizes from 1/2" to 36" nominal pipe size (NPS). 
• Wall Thickness: Varies based on schedule (e.g., SCH 40, SCH 80) and pipe size, with standard wall thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 12mm. 
• Mechanical Properties: Good weldability, bendability, and flanging capabilities. 
• Corrosion Resistance: Offers good resistance to corrosion, especially when combined with proper coatings or linings. 
• Welding: Can be welded using conventional methods. 

Standards and Equivalents:

• ASTM A106 Grade B is equivalent to ASME SA106 Grade B.
• It is also comparable to API 5L Grade B, DIN 17175 St35.8, JIS G3454 STPG 370, and BS 3601 360A in terms of chemical composition and mechanical properties for high-temperature applications.
